TYRE INFLATION and DEFLATION SYSTEM FOR FOUR WHEELER

DESCRIPTION:

 
The project concerns a method and a system for measuring and processing driving-dynamic parameters of a vehicle. In particular, this project concerns a method and a system for identifying a tyre of a vehicle by using the tyre pressures of the tyres to be identified.

Introduction To Tyre Inflation System:

FUNCTION:

  • Pressures of different tyres of a vehicle comprise pressure sensor elements Which are normally mounted on the rims and are surrounded by the corresponding tyres, or are integrated into the tyres or the valve. The pressure sensor elements are respectively connected to an A/D converter by which data indicating the measured tyre pressures are processed by micro controller.
  • Control/monitoring unit connected to microcontroller provide information on which tyre pressure is present and any drop in pressure to the corresponding tyre. Then the controller will maintain the pressure level by controlling DAC connected to compressor that can help to drive a vehicle to certain distance by maintain the pressure level inflated.

BLOCKS CONTAIN:

 
• Pressure sensor (to measure pressure level in tyres)
• Amplifier unit
• Microcontroller (whether may ATMEL/PIC)
• LCD Display
ADVANTAGE:
 
Low tire pressure can often lead to a blowout of the tire if it goes undetected while traveling on highways at speeds. It is an elegantly simple, low cost, reliable and easily repairable system for warning a driver. It is designed to be added to tires of existing vehicles such as busses, motor homes, trucks and trailers. Also this project has added advantage of maintain the pressure level on tyres.
