AUTOMATIC WOOD CRUSHER WITH CONVEYOR BELT

AUTOMATIC WOOD CRUSHER WITH CONVEYOR BELT

SYNOPSIS

The wood Crushing process is a main part of the Wastage Collecting industries. Normally the wood Crushing machine is manually hand operated one for Wastage Collecting wood industries. In our project is “motorized wood Crusher”.

Automation in the modern world is inevitable.  Any automatic machine aimed at the economical use of man, machine, and material worth the most. In our project is Pneumatic Actuator and control Valve unit is used for automation. The motorized wood Crushing machine works with the help of high torque A.C motor. The A.C motor is connected to the gear Arrangement. It is used to press the wastage wood in wood industries and agricultural fields. The machine is portable in size, so easy transportable. India being one of the largest wood industries, lack in technology of processing industry. Till date there were many techniques involved to crush the waste wood. But most of them involved, lead to failure. Even now the basic conventional process is being followed. Most of them are not aware of the importance of processing industry in India. Some projects were designed in recent times but the required target was not achieved. The traditional way of wood crushing was manually done. Day today the wood crushing remains untold miseries to farmers and coconut vendors due to high labour demand and labour cost.

INTRODUCTION

This is an era of automation where it is broadly defined as replacement of manual effort by mechanical power in all degrees of automation. The operation remains an essential part of the system although with changing demands on physical input as the degree of mechanization is increased.

Agriculture is the potential area that has to be automated which can be applied for activities like irrigation, harvesting, plugging, weeding, etc. Our project aims at automating the process of waste wood crushing by using some pure mechanical oriented thoughts. This machine is specifically designed to crushing the waste wood pieces using rotating spikes to penetrate and effectively engage. The interaction of the rollers in combination with the gripping action of the spike serves to tear away the husk from the nut leaving the nut intact.

OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT

The processing industry in the field of agriculture has a booming scope in the market. The utilization of byproducts also plays a key role in the processing industry. To concentrate with the study undergone, the wood crusher remains unsolved due to failures. This project is a prototype of the wood crushing machine where all the factors are considered like:

Cost factor
• Safety factor
• Time factor

WORKING PRINCIPLE

AUTOMATIC WOOD CRUSHER WITH CONVEYOR BELT

As the power is supplied to the motor, it acts as a driver with 1440 rpm and drives the gear box. From the gear box the speed is reduced to 28 rpm, which in turn supplies the power to the shaft. A crown gear is introduced to distribute the power equally to all the rotating blade shafts.
The crown gear is fixed by surface contact to which pinion gears are mounted over. The shaft remains as a support for the holing system.

APPLICATIONS

  1.  This machine is very useful for wood industries
  2.  This machine is used to crush the all types of cans.
  3.  All agricultural Application

DISADVANTAGES

  1. While working, the compressed air produces noise therefore a silencer may be used.
  2. High torque can not be obtained
  3. Load carrying capacity of this unit is not very high

ADVANTAGES

  1. The motorized crusher is more efficient in the technical field
  2. Quick response is achieved
  3. Simple in construction
  4. Easy to maintain and repair
  5. Cost of the unit is less when compared to other machine
  6. No fire hazard problem due to over loading
  7. Comparatively the operation cost is less
  8. The operation of wood Crushing is faster because the medium used to Operate.
